Martial Arts Training for Children, Teens and Adults
Taizen Martial Arts is a welcoming Thornleigh dojo where beginners and experienced students can train at their own pace. Our approach combines authentic Uechi Ryu Karate, practical kickboxing and mindful self-defence to develop fitness, focus, composure and confidence.
Children’s Karate: Ages 5–7
A fun, encouraging introduction to karate that develops coordination, listening skills, confidence and respect. Mondays, 4:00–5:00 pm.
Teen & Pre-Teen Karate: Ages 8+
Traditional Okinawan karate with progressive training in technique, fitness, discipline and self-defence. Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00–6:00 pm.
Kickboxing
An energetic Wednesday morning class combining striking technique, movement, fitness and practical skills. Wednesdays, 9:00–10:00 am.

All group classes are held at 6 Duffy Avenue, Thornleigh NSW 2120. New students are welcome—contact us before attending so we can recommend the right class.

Over 30 Years of Martial Arts Experience
Founder and lead instructor Dave Stennett has dedicated more than 30 years to martial arts. His background includes Uechi Ryu Karate, Shorinji Kenpo, Muay Thai, training in Japan and Thailand, and more than 15 years of competition experience.
Every class reflects Taizen’s philosophy: Forever Calm, Forever Composed. Students learn practical skills while developing resilience, focus and respect both inside and outside the dojo.
